Rafael Leao seems convinced by the idea of staying at AC Milan but a distance must be bridged in renewal talks, a report claims.
SportMediaset (via MilanNews) have given an update on the renewal of Leao through their journalist Claudio Raimondi, who confirms the words of Paolo Maldini before last night’s game against Torino in stating that the will of the two parties is to go forward together.
The negotiation is continuing and the issue of the release clause needs to be resolved as the Rossoneri would like to insert a €150m clause, but it doesn’t seem like an insurmountable problem.
After the Supercoppa Italiana in Saudi Arabia next month the parties will enter the most decisive phase of this affair, however there is cautious optimism about Leao’s eventual signing because the Portuguese forward is becoming convinced that the best solution is to stay at Milan to continue his development.
