GdS: Leao asked to be a leader for Milan’s struggling attack against Napoli

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan need the best version of Rafael Leao again when they face Napoli in a huge game in the Scudetto race this weekend, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport writes how Milan’s collective performance will need to be almost perfect to beat a Napoli side who are charged up after their last gasp win at Lazio, but above all Leao must put the attack on his shoulders and drag his team-mates through a difficult moment.

Games between top teams can often draw a lot of tactical focus regarding the spaces that may be available and the positional battles, but sometimes it takes a moment of inspiration to break the game open, something Leao can provide.

Spalletti knows this and that is why he will ask the reliable Di Lorenzo to keep the Portuguese winger quiet. With 11 goals in his 30 season appearances for the Rossoneri this season there are signs that Leao has exploded. If he wins the game for Milan in Naples, he will have passed another huge test.

  1. He also needs some support, he can’t play alone. I am only hoping that after this whole court thing is over he might focus more on playing good regularly and finally get where he needs to be. His talent is crazy, but he will be 23 soon so he doesn’t have time to mess around if he really wants to be world class.
