AC Milan are in a hurry to try and close the renewal of Rafael Leao as at least six big European clubs are keen on him, a report claims.
According to this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), developments could well come soon because the Milan management will today meet with Leao’s father at Casa Milan to speak about the future of his son and the potential to extend his deal beyond 2024.

The paper mentions that the Rossoneri leadership are in a hurry to close the negotiations as soon as possible because they are aware that a World Cup is coming that could see Leao announce himself on the biggest stage of all.
The other reason that they are eager to resolve matters is because the Portuguese winger continues to be the target of several top European clubs, with Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool all mentioned as having an interest.

does anyone think a second that we can keep leao? might be if we reach semifinals in UCL LOL
Looks lime youre willing to bet the house on Leao not signing. Ill save this comment for when he does.
Outside of Chelsea prior to them signing Nkunku, the supposed interest in Leao by the other teams mentioned makes zero sense.
PSG has Mbappe at LW- he isn’t going anywhere, no one can afford him
R.Madrid has Vinicius Jr at LW
ManCity has Grealish at LW, just spent 100 mil on him
ManUtd has Sancho (90 mil spent last year) and Rashford at LW
Liverpool has Luis Diaz at LW
GdS just throws the names of teams that have the money to buy Leao and make an article off of that.
Wonder what they are going to write about once Leao signs a new contract with Milan in the next couple weeks
These teams need two top class players in every position. They have virtually bottomless transfer funds, which they wont even need to offer Leao double the wages we can and offer our club enough money so we have to sell.
The main point of discussion should be how much can we get for him, and how will we use the money we get from him.
There’s more to it than you have highlighted.
There are 3 reasons why clubs purchase star players
1. When they lack the quality.
2. The need for quality deputy or potential replacement.
3. To delete the threats that may arrive from rival clubs (Note rivalry involves any team that you are in the same race or competition with).
Please can this renewal be done quickly. No long drawn out saga…. So we can get back to the football. If no agreement reached we sell. Let’s not lose any momentum!
