This evening, Rafael Leao has hit back against Antonio Cassano, who again has criticised the AC Milan star.
The spat between Leao and Cassano is laughable. It seems like every month or so, there is something between the two, almost exclusively started by the Italian forward. We have seen some great responses in recent years, and today, the latest has arrived.

‘He loves me’
In a tweet from FrankKhalidUK on X, Cassano states that Leao ‘looks like he is playing to impress girls, not to win football matches’. A bold claim indeed.
In typical Leao fashion, he simply replied, saying, ‘he loves me so much’ with a few laughing emojis. Unbothered by this latest attempt to bring the winger down. Surely by now, the former striker should know that these remarks will not bother Leao.

Seeing how Cassano replies, if he does, will certainly be a bit interesting. Though it is in everyone’s best interest for it to be stopped. It certainly does not reflect well on the Italian, that is for sure.
Responding means he is bothered. Reacting means getting himself involved in this meaningless stuff. Leao is not as cool-headed as he makes himself look on the outside.

Leao is more cool headed than Cassano ever was. Dude threw away his entire career and failed in the end. Now he’s a grumpy old wash up commentator.

Oh man… It was genius response. Everything came out of Cassano’s mouth about Rafa is mostly bad. I don’t care whether it irritated Rafa or not, but he reacted pretty well. That’s the point.
Leao might end up being a wannabe star, because we have been waiting for him to turn up, each season we are hoping he will break out above the scudetto season but that seems to be his peak.
Guys argue that he is not a born leader and being laid back in attitude on the pitch is his MO. He needs to conserve his energy for those 2-3 strong bursts of speed. Nice.
But guys like van basten, pirlo, Riquelme were no leaders like maldini and baresi, but they turned up in moments the teams needed results.
In our 2011 scudetto squad with cassano, Ibra, robinho and the rest, would Leao have had a starting spot and sauntered on the pitch without repercussions.
He should learn from Gourcouff, of whom maldini said, he didn’t apply himself in training and on the pitch. Nuff said.
Clearly leao is bothered about Cassano’s words cos he cannot claim to be more talented than him, and we know how Cassano’s eccentric behaviour eclipsed his talents eventually.
And Leao is worth €100m and is the highest paid player in our team because he is all hype.
Leao is the main man of AC Milan, Cassano never could be and yes Leao could walked into the 2011 team, with ppl like Maldini and Co on the pitch , Leao would have excelled of that their is no doubt and Leao is a lot more professional then Cassano, still affected by the time Ibra kicked him in the head.
Baguio, Signori, Berti, Totti and Zola laugh at Cassano maybe he should address that first.

Cassano is a total joke. I remember him. Lazy player he was with zero work ethic. Lazy commentator too. Total hypocrite.
But what if he is right?
This is not coming from a view of hatred but rather concern.
I read some disturbing comments on the post on X. I read about how Hazard had the same behaviour until Kante’s work ethic made him changed.
Hopefully, Modric’s presence will also make difference in Leao’s performance.
What cassano aim ? Winning trophy? Winning ballon d or ? Winning golden boot?

You all out there criticizing Rafa Leao are hypocrites full of sentiment. If you like bring in Yamal, Mbappe, Vinicius, Salah, Raphinha and Saka they would have not done better than Rafa under this management and the bad system in which they’ve been operating in. Today, some fans are boldly saying Theo was bad, yes he was last year but you forgot that under Maldini and Pioli he was good not until they left with the management leaving their positions vacant.
Please, give credit to whom credit is due. Cassano would have done well else where before and after playing for Milan but failed woefully at Milan. So, he should just focus on his commentary business and let Rafa Leao do his thing peacefully.
