Rafael Leao turns 26 years old today, and he has shared some of the objectives that he set himself for the past season.

Leao posted a story on Instagram which shows the targets that he put out for 2024-25, and he achieved one: winning the UEFA Nations League with Portugal, which happened on Sunday night and he had a bright performance.

One was almost achieved: hitting 80 goals with Milan. He is currently on 70, having scored 12 in the season that has just ended. The other goal he failed to achieve: winning the Coppa Italia with the Rossoneri, as they lost in the final to Bologna.

    1. Where was the UCL or scudetto? If the ambition was to win the Coppa Italia instead then you have the wrong mentality and don’t belong in Milan.

    2. Respectfully, having ambitions to win the trophies you mentioned above with Milan currently is literally impossible. I don’t know why he is wrong for being realistic for now. In no way could we have won the ucl, neither the scudetto. One thing we Milan fans need to accept is that we are not the same Milan. Our goal for now should be the scudetto. Not the ucl

      1. “Respectfully, having ambitions to win the trophies you mentioned above with Milan currently is literally impossible. ”

Respectfully, if the players aren’t aiming to win trophies they should stay home. The management sets their targets but the players couldn’t care less about them. Either they want to win stuff or they will forever be mediocre. Imagine Zlatan or CR7 saying before the season starts “I’m fine with finishing in the TOP5”. That would NEVER happen. They’ve done everything they can to win, Win every season. Every trophy. That’s what players should focus on. Not “accepting” the targets set by management.

  1. 6 full seasons as a Milan player, and he has a total of 70 goals in all competitions. He missed his target by 10 goals. Based on his average, he should be able to reach 80 by the end of next season.
BTW, he still didn’t have the cojones to step up and take a penalty in the final.
