CM: Lecce expected to exercise €2.5m Colombo option – Milan’s counter-move

By Oliver Fisher -

Lecce fully intend to use their option to buy Lorenzo Colombo permanently when his loan deal expires but AC Milan already know their next move, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com describe it as ‘love at first sight between Lorenzo Colombo and Lecce’ as the 20-year-old striker started his loan spell with them by racking up 4 goals and 2 assists but he has suffered a bit of a slowdown in recent weeks.

Of course this is to be expected for a striker as young as Colombo in his first season on loan in Serie A and that is why Pantaleo Corvino – the Lecce sporting director – still plans to exercise their option to buy which was set at €2.5m last summer.

However, Milan protected themselves by inserting a buy-back for an extra €500k barring surprises they will exercise it. The idea is to keep hold of the centre-forward and consider a new loan deal for next season, while the Giallorossi would get a development fee of sorts.

  1. Apart from that, management should really look into next young phenomenon in Gift Orban. That youngster made fastest hat trick. And yeah is cheap valued too.

    1. Agreed, I’ve been keeping up with him recently and aside from the stats this guy is a perfect modern striker. He is fast, good at dribbling and has a killer finish at just the age of 20. Definitely one to look at!

  2. @Roses, thanks Bro, I’ve been waiting for someone to recommend the guy.
Dude’s seriously hot, he just scored a Hattrick in three minutes yesterday.
