Legendary Milan forward Massaro urges Colombo to ‘keep things simple’ in first start

By Oliver Fisher -

Former AC Milan striker Daniele Massaro has urged Lorenzo Colombo to ‘keep things simple’ in his debut for the club.

Colombo will make his first competitive start for Milan against Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League as Zlatan Ibrahimovic is out with Coronavirus, Rafael Leao is not fit yet and Ante Rebic is suspended.

Before the match against the Norwegian side, Massaro was interviewed by Milan TV about Colombo.

“In these first games, Colombo showed that he had great qualities. I don’t know him well personally, but I just need to see his attitude,” he said.

“We will hear about him. He must try to keep things simple, not to overdo it. The first balls he will play will be very important. He is still young, but he has ample room for improvement.”

On tonight’s match: “I don’t know Bodo / Glimt well, but we have a good time. Tonight we must not underestimate the opponent and the game, it would be the most wrong thing”.
