MilanNews have confirmed that the decision to exclude Paqueta from the 20-man squad was entirely a technical one and nothing to do with injury – despite the unavailability of Rafael Leao and Ante Rebic – which adds duel to the fire regarding a potential sale.
According to L’Equipe, if at least two players leave between Houssem Aouar, Memphis Depay and Jeff Reine-Adélaïde, Lyon will launch their attack for Paqueta.
The Brazilian playmaker is the priority target of their sporting director Juninho, a player he he followed for a few years now, while it is believed Milan will ask for €22-25m.
