Lyon are interested in signing AC Milan outcast Lucas Paqueta but first need to complete a sale, according to a report.
It is no secret that the Rossoneri are looking to offload Paqueta, and the fact he was left out of the squad entirely for both Europa League qualifying rounds so far perhaps shows that a potential move is not too far away.
According to French source L’Equipe (via MilanNews), Lyon are interested in Paqueta but first must sell one of Jeff Reine Adelaide, Memphis Depay or Houssem Aouar – with the latter two seemingly close to Barcelona and Arsenal respectively for a combined fee of around €70m based on other reports.
With those sales, Lyon will make their move for Paqueta and the paper speaks of a negotiation that is more than possible both due to the good relations between the Ligue 1 club and Paqueta’s representatives and the fact the deal would cost around €20m, easily covered by potential sales.
