L’Equipe: Milan see latest €15m bid for Simakan rejected but negotiations are not over

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have seen their latest bid for Strasbourg defender Mohamed Simakan rejected, a report claims, but talks are ongoing.

According to L’Equipe, Milan are slowly approaching the demands of Strasbourg regarding Simakan after a day of intense negotiations. The Ligue 1 club are asking for €20m to sell the 20-year-old, and after the offer sent a little earlier on Monday (€8million plus significant bonuses) was rejected, a new bid was made.

The Rossoneri management upped their offer to €12m fixed plus €3m in bonuses and a large percentage on future resale. The Alsatian club also rejected it, but the source claims that this does not mean that the negotiations are over.

The player has already agreed a five-year contract with Milan, meaning that if Paolo Maldini and co. can somehow strike a deal with Starsbourg then the rest of the proceedings could go through quickly.
