Theo Hernandez is not taking part in training with the rest of the France squad due to feeling some discomfort in his calf, a report claims.
According to a report from L’Equipe, Theo has already missed two training sessions with the rest of the squad due to feeling an issue in his calf, and while his condition to not arouse much concern they still want to be careful with him.
The staff hope, however, that he will be able to return to the pitch on Wednesday afternoon, which would be good news given the lack of options in the left-back role.
Ferland Mendy withdrew even before the start of the retreat and was replaced by midfielder Jordan Veretout, while Eduardo Camavinga was called up to play as a midfielder where he has been better this season with Real Madrid.
France have two fixtures coming up: on Friday against Gibraltar away and on Monday against Greece at home, both of which are qualifiers for Euro 2024.
Just let him rest. He’s earned it.
