Libero: Milan weighing up idea of move for Atalanta midfielder who left four years ago

Yet another source has come forward and reported that AC Milan are interested in the possibility of re-signing Matteo Pessina at the end of the season.

Back in 2017, Milan bought Andrea Conti from Atalanta and sent Pessina the other way in a deal totalling €27m, €3m of which was represented by the midfielder and the other €24m in cash. As part of that agreement, Milan retained a 50% resale clause on Pessina which means they will get half of any proceeds Atalanta receive should he leave.

Since then, a number of different sources have reported that Milan are looking to take advantage of that clause to essentially get Pessina back at half price given his impressive development. As reported by today’s edition of newspaper Libero (via SpazioMilan), the Rossoneri could indeed decide to convert the agreement into a discount in a possible negotiation with La Dea, should the interest become concrete.
