It has not been the season that Yacine Adli hoped for and that is why another change of clubs could be on the cards in the summer, a report claims.
Adli has made just one start so far this season which came in the game away against Hellas Verona last year when he came off at half-time. He has made only five appearances in total, with the other four being cameo stints off the bench, and he was left out of the Champions League squad list.
Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes that the Milan management have seen Stefano Pioli’s lack of trust in the Frenchman and they are evaluating the possibility of loaning him to a team that will allow him to play with greater continuity.
Adli is still just 22 years of age which means he has plenty of opportunity to grow, but he cannot do so with such limited playing time. He was left on loan at Bordeaux last season having been bought by Milan in the 2021 summer window.
I don’t get it, he had a complete preseason with the team and a good one too. What happened then?
