Lokomotiv Moscow in bizarre Twitter exchange with Di Marzio over Miranchuk-Laxalt swap

By Oliver Fisher -

FC Lokomotiv Moscow could not resist a response to Gianluca Di Marzio’s tweet about a possible swap deal with AC Milan.

Sky Italia reported (via MilanNews) on Tuesday that Miranchuk is the latest name that is ‘buzzing around the heads’ of the Rossoneri’s market men.

They added that the deal could be concluded with the insertion of Diego Laxalt, and Gianluca Di Marzio tweeted his news, which drew a response from Lokomotiv’s official English Twitter account, as seen below…

Who knows what this could infer. It could imply they are interested in Laxalt but value Miranchuk at €25m more than the Uruguay international.

It could also mean they do not want Laxalt at all as some reports have suggested Miranchuk is valued at €25m, which would mean – based on this tweet – they value Laxalt at €0.

It could also just be harmless banter to try and promote the account, too. After all it did come from an unverified English handle (albeit official) and not the main club channel.

Miranchuk plays as an attacking midfielder and has amassed 12 goals and five assists in 26 appearances in all competitions so far this season for Lokomotiv.
