Longo: Krunic ready to sign three-year renewal with Milan – the new salary

By Isak Möller -

Rade Krunic is expected to sign a contract renewal with AC Milan before the end of the year, having been linked with a move this past summer. Per a report, his salary will more than double.

Krunic has been an important player for AC Milan at the story of this season, being the only real No.6 in the squad. He missed the last four games due to an injury, but should be back in action against Juventus after the break.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan and Krunic are expected to enter the final stages of the renewal negotiations towards the end of the year. The Bosnian’s new salary should be €2.5m per year, as opposed to the current €1.1m, and he will sign for another three years.

As said, Krunic is expected to be back against Juventus and could even play from the first minute. Yacine Adli has done well in the No.6 role in the 30-year-old’s absence and the ability to alternate between the two will be key moving forward.

  1. Well deserved, until Bennacer is fit again, Krunic is essential to Milan’s new attacking style of play both in the defensive phase and in the build-up as he’s very reliable, rarely makes mistakes, he reads the game well, moves very intelligently to control and clone down space in front of the CBs and almost always providing passing options to his colleagues when they’re pressed by the opponents providing much needed security to players playing more up front. Yes, he doesn’t participate much in attacking, but that’s not his role in this system.
Adli proved to be a capable deputy against weaker teams that defend deeper as his vision allows him to play more though balls that transport the balls directly to the wingers/mezzalas making forward runs, but he still needs to learn to make quicker decisions and how to position himself when defending as he’s prone to mistakes in that regard.
In the coming games I hope that Krunic will start against stronger opponents, but Adli should continue to get more minutes against other teams to gain much needed experience.

    1. Your initial comment was flagged, maybe because you don’t comment often 🙂 Don’t sweat though, they end up on a list and we just have to approve them, sometimes we are slow so bear with us!

  2. Well deserved, he is good squad player even if some of us doubt his ability as starting eleven player (me included)

Still wish he stay as squad player and not first choice no.6 though, we need better and younger player (maybe Adli or Musah)

    1. You can say that, but the difference is that Ambrossini was a world-class player, meanwhile Krunic is an above average versatile team player.

    1. So 2.5m is a huge salary for Krunic?
      🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤡 🤡

Go in that pitch and prove yourself if you think Rade Krunic haven’t provided himself as a back up to earn 2.5 to 3m.

  3. the salary is not what worries me, but 3 more years? WTF? Krunic is not a Milan class player and we renew him 3 more seasons? lol
