Longo: Bayer Leverkusen want to postpone sale of Milan target – the latest

By Isak Möller -

In the last few days, AC Milan have been linked with Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapie. The Rossoneri need a centre-back amid Alessio Romagnoli’s exit but the Ecuadorian might not be the one, a report claims.

Stefano Pioli wants to have more depth in defence and as Romagnoli’s contract has expired, he has told Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara to sign a centre-back. Several names have been linked with the club, including Piero Hincapie.

A few days ago, the defender’s agent confirmed the interest of Milan but also stated that his client is happy in Germany. Now, Daniele Longo reports that Bayer Leverkusen want to postpone Hincapie’s departure until after the World Cup.

The German side believe they can get even more money than the rumoured €20m after the World Cup. In addition to Milan, the likes of Napoli and Roma are also interested in the player. Spurs have also been mentioned but a move isn’t close, per Longo.
