AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is not expected to make any radical changes to the starting line-up that will face Juventus, but there is one temptation.
According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Pioli should field an attack that is led by centre-forward Olivier Giroud and has Rafael Leao, Charles De Ketelaere and Rade Krunic as the trident behind. He adds that there is the ‘temptation’ to play Ante Rebic from the start – who has four goals against Juve – but it is more likely he comes off the bench.

Sandro Tonali and Ismael Bennacer should then be in the double pivot in front of a back four consisting of Sergino Dest, Pierre Kalulu, Fikayo Tomori and the returning Theo Hernandez from right to left, and of course Ciprian Tatarusanu in goal with Mike Maignan absent.

Pioli is a good coach overall, but he’s not great and he’s limited due to his tactical deficiencies. He simply can’t adapt to adversity. Never has been able to. He can get the best out of his players over time it seems and get the team to generally fight hard. But anytime we have injuries or face a smart tactical manager he has no answer he continues to play the 4231 when we have poorly performing AMs and we have no RW. Our RW is awful even when we have our starters… now we don’t even have that..
This is 100% the time to be brave and make a change. There’s 2 options in my opinion.
3412 and play Tomori Gabbia and Kalulu together and now if you are going to play dest hell be way less damaging. Or we go 4312 and play our mids that we have. We can play Tonali, Bennacer, and Pobega/Adli. Then we can bring on Vranckx if needed. Also Krunic will be way better in midfield than RW.
Pioli needs to show he has strength and can adapt. No more waiting.

Crunic again. Is this guy related to milan hiriachy or what? On top of that our defense will be exposed again again again with this formation. Look at the stats we’ve been conceding goals like crazy this season. Our defenders are the same, but midfield hasn’t been holding up. Cdk doesn’t drop back enough, same as krunic in the rw or am or whatever position he is. Get the crap together pioli. Throw leao on the right and rebic left. Leao shouldnt have any issues on the right with his speed and class.
