Longo: PSG among top European teams eyeing Milan star but €150m stance is set

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan winger Rafael Leao is attracting interest from a number of top European clubs including Paris Saint-Germain, but the Rossoneri’s stance has been made clear.

It was reported by RMC Sport that PSG have Leao on a list of players they think could come in and add fresh life to the forward line with their sporting director Luis Campos in particular a big admirer, given he worked with him at Lille.

Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com reports on Twitter that the ‘Portuguese Mbappé’ was also a phrase used by Zvonomir Boban who held a role at Milan at the time of Leao’s purchase from Lille.

The Portuguese winger is attracting plenty of interest from top European clubs after a season in which he was crowned the Seria a MVP, and PSG are indeed among them, but Milan have made their stance clear.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara do not want to sell him, and the only valuation they would be forced to accept is the €150m in his release clause.

    1. Heck yes. If the agent plays hard to get, just sell him already. If there’s 2 things we learn from this few years back is not to loose another key player for free again and Milan is capable to replace anyone, on the positive side.

  1. He will not renew, Milan will never pay him 6.5M /7M when CDK needed to drop his salary to 2.2M… just sell him for like 80, that’s his fair price for being good for 3 months, let him do this for 2.5 years. Bullshit 150M

    1. First I wouldn’t sell him this window. I’m sure if we offered him 6-7M he would gladly renew. However, if he says he won’t renew then that’s a different story or if he doesn’t renew by January or next summer then we would need to sell at that point as we cannot lose another star player for free. But Why would you sell him at 80M if he has a release clause for 150M and is still under contract and has not yet demanded to leave??? You clearly don’t understand what a release clause is. Fair price is 80M? Why should we be “fair”? No friend, fair price is 150M. If another club wants him that badly that is the price right now. Why do Milan fans always undervalue our own players and overvalue other teams players? There is a donkey on this chat (@bb) who said to sell him for 40M! Haha! Terrible.

      1. He has already been offered 5.5M€ so it’s highly unlikely he’d “settle” for 6M€. Especially as the main issue is Mendes and his bonuses. Milan isn’t willing to satisfy his outrageous demands – unlike PSG and others.

      2. And once again this Juro idiot twists my words. I said if he doesn’t renew, sell him for 40M€ next summer. This just proves how illiterate idiot you are.

        1. Hahahahahaha. You would sell him for 40M next summer? Loser! He would still be worth double that next summer kid. And don’t try to rewrite history. you said to sell him this summer for 40M!! Everyone knows what you said can’t change history Mr. Trump. Hahahahaha!!

  2. Jorge Mendes back at it, making up stories.
PSG might be interested in the future but not today.
Where are they going to play him when they already have Mbappe, Messi and Neymar, plus Ekitike. Are they going to buy him so he can back up Mbappe? Because he isn’t starting there
More nonsense pushed by his agent Jorge Mendes thru his media cronies so he can squeeze more money out of Milan on Leao’s new contract

  3. Agree with @juro. Sell him if someone have money and dare to pay the release clause.
And for @coco, who care about where they are going to play him, if PSG is stupid enough to trigger the release clause..? As long as Leao not going for free in the future…

  4. Lol, would sell for 75+ but I highly doubt there’s any legs in this story – they’ve got many players for that position already – when Messi leaves and his salary is freed it makes more sense but not happening this summer.
