Andrea Longoni has questioned the actions of the new AC Milan management, with only three signings made so far this summer. More was expected at this point and time is moving fast.
Samuele Ricci, Luka Modric and Pietro Terracciano are the only arrivals so far, which anyone can tell isn’t enough. The 2024-25 season was a huge disappointment and some important players have left, yet to be replaced.

For example, Milan still need a left-back to make up for Theo Hernandez’s departure, while work is still ongoing to secure Ardon Jashari for the midfield. In short, something needs to change soon, otherwise Max Allegri won’t have much time to work with the signings.
Déjà vu for Milan fans
In his latest editorial for MilanNews, Andrea Longoni highlighted the need for reinforcements as Allegri can do it all on his own. Furthermore, he compared the summer so far with previous transfer windows, with a lot of the same emerging.
“Milan’s summer continues to be marked by the same old phrases, which fans have now learned by heart: ‘Tare’s inquiry, ‘Offer rejected’, ‘The player only wants Milan’, ‘The relaunch is ready’… The facts are different.
“To date, Ricci has arrived (a deal initiated at the beginning of the year), Modric (great curiosity about what he will bring), and the second goalkeeper Terracciano. A change of direction is needed and no more precious time can be wasted.
Same ownership? Same management? Same shameful behavior! Don’t kill Tare – he’s the only innocent one in this mess.”
I blame Tare because I expected he’d negotiate for a certain degree of freedom when he was approached.
At the end of the day, his reputation will be tied to this management.
We just hope they see this and do better

This is why primavera can never compete with barca la masia to produce talented player. Every year media and fan only demand new signing shiny toy. Every season buy many new player and after that have problem to sell them.
Barca is a bad example to use for this, they spend and sign way more than us and their fans expect even more.
Why do we need more players? We never did!

Wow! Do you think that the squad is complete? Haven’t you noticed that after terminating Jovic, loaning Camarda, and not rescuing Abraham, we are left with only one striker? What if Gimenez gets injured? Do you want to just improvise that horrible Okafor there, who proved over and over that he can’t do much as a striker?
And what about the right back position? We are trying to unload that bum Emerson Royal, have not rescued Walker, have sold Kalulu, so we have nobody who is really good and a specialist in the right back position (only improvisations like having Saelemaekers or Musah there, or even worse, Jimenez who can’t defend). And left back, after Theo was sold, we have nobody. Again, we’ll improvise Jimenez or Pavlovic? Or use the very mediocre Bartesaghi???
How do you think we’ll do with one striker left, and no good options for both flanks of our defense? Will that means few goals scored and many goals conceded?
We obviously have glaring holes and gaps, and you think we want signings just because we want shiny new things?

“Why do we need more players”? Because with this group of players we finished eighth! The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Clearly never watched any matches last year.
I don’t mind shiny new toys if they improve the squad. Problem is we mostly bought second hand crap. Does any Milan fan want yet another unknown but promising young French or Belgian player? What happened to the promise of a more Italian squad? We let Coppola go to Brighton for 10-11M. Lucca joined Napoli. What’s happening with Scalvini, Leoni? Camarda sent away. If he played for Barca or PSG he’d be in the starting 11. Why no sales? As it stands we’ll be fighting on the last day of next season for a Conference League place.
I just hope that nobody buy any tickets and leave the owner and management with their shame once again.
