Lucchese director confirms negotiations are underway with Milan over three players

By Oliver Fisher -

The sporting director of Lucchese, Daniele Deoma, has confirmed that the club have an interest in signing three young AC Milan players.

Deoma was interviewed by the newspaper La Nazione and was asked about whether Lucchese – who are currently playing in Serie C – are interested in three Milan Primavera players. He confirmed that they are, and suggested that the Tuscans could present an offer to Paolo Maldini for the loan of Marco Frigerio, Gabriele Bellodi and Riccardo Tonin.

“As is known, there is a very open discussion with Milan, but a lot will depend on the formula with which Frigerio, Tonin and Bellodi would come to Lucchese,” he said (via SempreMilan.it).

There seems to be an open dialogue between the clubs therefore and we can expect more information soon regarding the formula with which the trio could leave. It is suggested that it would be a loan, but it is worth remembering that any sale would constitute a pure capital gain.

Milan must also take account of the new regulations regarding the maximum amount of players that can be sent out on loan to the same club.

  1. if i remember the numbers correctly then from next season clubs will only be allowed to loan out 8 players a season. Those players who are unlikely to succeed and become first team players should instead be sold and even smaller fees helps on the bottom line. Players that are loaned out should be those with a possible future at the club so in my view it actually does make sense and all of those players mentioned in the article is clearly far from the first team and are all 20-21 years old.

      1. Its actually in two years that teams only will be allowed to have six players loaned out but nevertheless thanks Vero Rossonero 😀
This new rule might not come handy for us at first sight but it could easily help smaller teams leveling up as they will have more access to talents so it could be interesting to see how it pans out for talent devlopment in the various european leagues.

  2. A small addition to the above, and the following season it will be 7 allowed loans out and in to a club and max 3 from one club. In 3 years clubs will only be allowed to loan/loan out 6 players which will be the final change in plans.
