Evening Standard: Lukaku’s firm stance regarding Milan and Newcastle interest emerges

By Oliver Fisher -

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku will snub interest from AC Milan and Newcastle United this summer, according to a report.

An article on Goal by the reliable Chelsea journalist Nizaar Kinsella claimed that the Rossoneri could offer an escape route to save Lukaku from his Chelsea ‘nightmare’ if the takeover talks ongoing between Investcorp and Elliott Management are successful.

However, there has now been an update on those rumours as the Evening Standard are reporting that that Lukaku ‘will reject any interest’ from Milan and also Premier League side Newcastle this summer with the Magpies happy to pay his transfer fee and wages.

It seems that the Belgian striker wants to try and turn around what has been a very difficult first season since his return to Chelsea and does not want to upset the relationship that he has with the Inter fans, having left Milan’s city rivals to move back to west London.

    1. exactly, who even wants him at Milan, he has also put some weight on since he left for chelsea and is not half the player he was at inter, if he was smart he would follow conte as he seems to be the only one that can motivate him to stay in shape

  1. Rubbish rumour, there is no way AC Milan interesting in over price player like lukaku. Pay 100m euro for flop player? Darwin Nunez / nkunku are far better than him with lower price than lukaku too
