Maignan: “I didn’t come to make Donnarumma forgotten” – video

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan has insisted that he did not join the club to try and replace or surpass Gianluigi Donnarumma in any way, but rather to carve his own legacy at the club.

Maignan spoke to SportMediaset after last night’s 4-0 win against Inter in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals about a number of different topics including the two recent victories, his secrets and coming to replace Donnarumma.

“The derby was very important for Milan, for us it was also important for the classification,” he said (via MilanNews).

On the victory against Lazio: “We played with the right mentality, we played with intensity and we won the match. The Italian Cup is an important competition for us.”

On his secrets: “I am very demanding, for a goalkeeper the details are fundamental. I try to do my job in the best possible way.”

On Donnarumma: “I didn’t come to make Donnarumma forgotten, but to do my job.”

  1. We will forget him no worries
    He is traitor.
    Milan raise him
    Milan teach him
Milan payed his brother for nothing
    Or shame or looser.
He will go Down for worst

  2. You made him to sit on bench, you are a new dida for us. You are already a best in Serie A, so no need to remember the traiters/loosers for nothing.
Actually cleaning the rich asses(on benches) in PSG is best for Gigio.
