French goalkeeper Mike Maignan is not expected to make his return to action for AC Milan until the end of February at the earliest, a report claims.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News), Maignan is not going to be rushed back into action and the Champions League first leg against Tottenham Hotspur has come too soon.
He has also been ruled out of the match next Saturday against Monza which means Ciprian Tatarusanu will remain in goal for a while yet.
There is a hypothesis that Maignan will be back in full training with the group on February 20 and that could mean that he will play in the match against Atalanta on February 26.
Any earlier than that seems to be an impossibility for Maignan and that time frame is reliant on there being no more complications with his fitness in the training sessions that he’ll soon take part in.
Better ever than never.
