Last night, two of AC Milan’s stars were in action as France qualified for the Round of 32 in the ongoing World Cup.
The World Cup has not been so easy for Milan’s players; a few have not gotten the minutes that they’d hoped for. Others have, but their results have been worse than they’d have hoped for. Perhaps, it may even have been their performance.

For example, Mike Maignan struggled in the opener against Senegal and whilst France won, he looked shaky. So his performance was one to watch last night against Iraq, where a comfortable win was expected.
Maignan and Rabiot pass
Shortly after full-time, GOAL published their match ratings for the game and both Adrien Rabiot and Maignan were given a 6/10 rating, which is a pass mark. It is not the best, of course, but it is rare to see the ratings move without match-changing actions.
For Maignan, it is a first clean sheet in seven France games, as the report states, so this could give him some confidence moving forward.
MilanVibes also looked at their performances, focusing more on the more-involved midfielder. Indeed, he ‘performed routinely’. Solid in both phases, showing leadership and a general control of the game, he didn’t put a foot wrong in either half.
Perhaps he should’ve been given a seven.
