Mike Maignan certainly did his bit to try and help France last night against Croatia, saving a penalty while the score was still 0-0.
Maignan’s form at club level this season has been up and down, it would be fair to say, and this has even led to reports that his future with Milan is not certain despite an agreement being reached over a renewal.
However, he shone for Les Bleus last night as he kept out a penalty from Kramaric. Admittedly it wasn’t the best spot kick, and France would go on to lose 2-0 anyway, but it was certainly a temporary reprieve after a handball.
