AC Milan were dumped out of the Coppa Italia by Torino last night but some positive news did arrive from Paolo Maldini before the game.
As Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reports this morning, Maldini’s words yesterday evening on Bennacer were concrete as he suggested that the midfielder will sign his new deal ‘in the next 24-36 hours’.
The paper claims that the Algerian midfielder is expected at Casa Milan with his agent Enzo Raiola to sign a deal until 2027 which will see him earn €4m net per season plus bonuses, with a €50m release clause valid only from the summer of 2024 and for the first 15 effective days of the transfer market.
Then there is Rafael Leao, and again Maldini had some positive words on the situation underlining how he has the clear feeling that both sides want to reach an agreement as soon as possible, the player above all.
The negotiations between Milan and Leao’s entourage continue, even when the parties are not meeting in person, and it is hoped that all the main aspects will soon be agreed upon.
