AC Milan have reportedly begun talks with the entourage of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to discuss a possible summer move.
According to what is being reported by DailyMilan, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have already outlined the strategic plan for the coming summer and on the back of that they are initiating contacts with clubs and agents to set up future operations.
If Milan do qualify for the next edition of a Champions League then the plan is to make two investments on top players and then sign a third who is younger and has potential. One of these signings will be a midfielder, and Sergej Milinković-Savić tops the wish list.
He has been with Lazio since 2015 and his current deal expires in 2024, with no signs of a renewal at present. Maldini and Massara have moved in advance and have already made contact with his entourage.
Carlo Pellegatti, a well-known expert on Rossoneri affairs, also spoke about the Serbian midfielder on his YouTube channel yesterday: “How nice it would be! Milan know that to improve they need three players. In midfield the name is just that.”
The report states that the cost would be €40m, but the treasure of revenues that would come from the Champions League would also come to the rescue of Maldini and Massara.

I would absolutely love to see savic in milan but as others i’ll believe it when i see it happen as lotito is deffently not the type to offer bargains on player sales.

He’s 28 and I think his best years are behind him. There are better options. I’d rather see the kid Eletu given a chance as back-up for the central midfielders.
I love how people write stupidities. SMS is like a world class version of Kessie. That knows how to play football, for real. Box to box midfielder that can defend, dribble, score and assists, and more. He has 10 goals and 10 assists in Serie A per season for the last xy seasons, far from bad. And you can easily see how much he contributes to defence…
