MN: Maldini patient but Milan could discuss terms of deal with Real Madrid for playmaker

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are pondering what strategy to take regarding the future of Brahim Diaz as they must inform Real Madrid of their decision, a report claims.

The two-year loan deal that Brahim Diaz is currently on will expire upon the completion of the season, then it will be time for the management to decide what to do.

Antonio Vitiello writes in his column for MilanNews that there is no hurry among the figures present at Casa Milan currently, but on the contrary they want to take another few months to make a decision in the best possible way regarding the future of the Spaniard.

Compared to his first two years Diaz has started better, but consistency will be needed in his role. Furthermore, it is not excluded that Milan and Real Madrid – whose relations are excellent – will return to dialogue in the spring to re-discuss the terms of the agreement.

There is currently an option to buy in the Rossoneri’s favour and it cannot be ruled out that it could be lowered, but a lot will depend on what Brahim will do in the next six months and the player’s will.
