AC Milan sporting director Paolo Maldini still wants to sign Nicolo Zaniolo in the summer as he is a big admirer of the Italian, a report claims.
As has been reported by Calciomercato.com, Maldini is still convinced that there is a quality player in Zaniolo and he only envisages him being at Galatasaray for a short amount of time.
Zaniolo left AS Roma in January and wanted to join Milan. Maldini wanted the move to happen but RedBird would not sanction the funds needed to make it happen.
The move the Galatasaray happened after a €15 million fee along with a 20% resale clause for Roma, meaning the Giallorossi would benefit from getting a deal done for Zaniolo in the summer.
Since moving to a 3-4-2-1, there is less of a clear role for Zaniolo to play in the Milan team. He would likely need to take the place of either Brahim Diaz or Rafael Leao behind the main striker.
Just leave him in turkey. Wasting fund to sign this ACL injury player. We need right wing that have quality more than saladmaker/junior
Maldini should go in the first place
LOL. We could have had him for 20M in January and now we are going to spend his 35M release clause to get him 6 months later? LOL. Ya sound logic.
No for Zaniolo, but yes for Angelo Gabriel. I hope Milan recruit Angelo Gabriel from Santos.
