Malmo’s sporting director has confirmed that the club are in talks with AC Milan over a deal for Lukas Bjorklund.
It was reported by Di Marzio last night that the 16-year-old attacking midfielder would undergo checks at La Madonnina clinic before signing his new contract with Milan, accompanied by his agent Ariatti.
Bjorklund has made seven appearances for the U17 Swedish national team, of which he is captain, and was also wanted by Inter, Bologna and Udinese – but the Rossoneri have won the race.
Now, Malmo director Daniel Andersson has revealed that a deal is on the cards, but refused to go into specifics.
“He has received permission to travel down there, then we’ll see where it will lead,” he told Fotbolls Kanalen.
“We have had some discussions with Milan and we usually don’t comment before it’s done, but as some pics have leaked, it seems silly to deny it. We are in good discussions with Milan.
“Compensation? We don’t comment on it. We will release an official communication if anything like that happens.”
In addition, MilanNews have provided a video showing the player with a Milan shirt in hand after completing his medical.
✍ Medical done, contract signed. Now we wait for the announcement…
