CorSera: Man Utd interest does not worry Milan as striker should pen new deal

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will resume their season this afternoon against Salernitana and the attack will once again be led by Olivier Giroud.

This morning’s edition of Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) explains that due to the fact Ibrahimovic, Rebic and Origi are injured for the game against Salernitana, there are no alternatives for the attack and Giroud will be asked to start again.

The 36-year-old still no doubt feels disappointment after the defeat in the World Cup final but the Frenchman’s goal is to transform all this anger into positive energy. Meanwhile, the question of his future also continues to hold weight.

A new meeting is scheduled with his agent in the coming weeks to talk about his future: there is confidence regarding this matter, despite the fact that in the last few hours there has been talk of an interest from Manchester United who would have identified him as the man to replace Cristiano Ronaldo.

The paper goes on to add that Giroud’s future, barring sensational surprises, will still be at Milan, a club where he has found a second wave of youth.
