El Nacional: Man Utd want €55m playmaker on loan at Milan from Real Madrid – the situation

Any intentions AC Milan have of keeping Brahim Diaz beyond the end of the season may be complicated by Manchester United’s interest, a report claims.

Brahim Diaz is currently in his third season with Milan on loan from Real Madrid as this is the second of a two-year loan deal that was signed back in the summer of 2021 after an initial one-year loan for 2020-21.

According to Spanish outlet El Nacional, United have been admiring his performances with Milan and they are exploring a deal for the 23-year-old, to whom they have promised a prominent role in the team if he makes the move to Old Trafford.

However, what remains to be seen is how things work out between Milan and Real Madrid, because the former have an option to buy him permanently and while the Spanish champions have a buy-back clause, they would have to convince the player they would actually use him.

El Nacional’s report suggests the Spain international could cost around €55million to sign from Real Madrid, with developments expected in the coming months as the clubs get closer to making a decision on what happens after his loan.

However, several reports have also claimed there is an anti-Man Utd clause in Brahim’s deal with Real. Manchester City insisted on it when selling Diaz to Los Blancos and it dictates that City would receive 40% of the fee if the Spaniard was sold to their city rivals, so that would be around €22m.

    1. Ok, even if Diaz WAS worth 55m that’s not how it would work. We have an option to buy for 22m. Real Madrid then have a buy-back option at 27m. They would exercise that clause if they thought Diaz was a 55m player, so no, we’re not going to be making 33m on Diaz. IF this fake news were true it MIGHT work like this: Milan exercises their option at 22m. Real then exercises theirs at 27m. Milan makes 5m profit. Then Man U buys Diaz from Madrid for 55m and Madrid makes 50m profit. Yes, 50m, as Madrid only technically spent 5m to get him back from Milan, (27m minus the 22m received from Milan for the initial purchase = 5m). So it would be a pretty sweet deal for Madrid, with Milan getting a little cut. That is IF this was true and IF Milan and Madrid coordinated.

  1. Lol how can u be so clever
Even if u buy Brahim Real can buy him back inside the next 24 months for 5 more mil
Then if this is true that l highly doubt it THEY will sell him to Man U or whoever else and THEY will make a big profit

  2. BREAKING NEWS: The Earth is flat, the moon landing was fake, covid is a plot by the New World Order to gain control, and Diaz is worth 55m Euro.
