Mancini Allegri Sarri

CM: Mancini joins Allegri and Sarri as potential Fonseca replacement ideas

Whilst Paulo Fonseca is not yet at risk, AC Milan are making considerations about which coaches could be contacted if things were to change, and there is a new addition to the list.

Since Stefano Pioli’s position became under fire, there have been the same few names linked to the Milan bench and whilst some are now impossible due to them taking new jobs, a few ideas remain.

Those at the top of the list are Massimiliano Allegri and Maurizio Sarri, who have both been heavily considered since Pioli was sacked and with Fonseca experiencing difficult times, they have regularly been mentioned by reports.

Today though, a new name, or better yet idea, has entered the mix, according to Calciomercato.com reports. The new name is Roberto Mancini, who left his job as the head coach of Saudi Arabia at the tail end of October.

His name was linked to the Roma job in recent weeks, and the report suggests that he is growing impatient to find a new ‘challenge’.

RedBird, as the report suggests, would consider him as a report to an ’emergency solution’ if Fonseca were to be sacked, which supports claims that the Portuguese head coach is not in a position to be sacked yet, only if things got much worse. However, whether Mancini would be the right option to help the side in that situation is debatable.

  1. Sarri, concecaio, Xavi are the only options we should be considering for the fitting formation and they’re tactics aren’t out dated and can actually compete with inter and Atalanta unlike allegri and Mancini

    1. You don’t know what you’re talking about, tell us what “tactics” Xavi uses, or Sarri or Conceicao. You don’t know what you’re talking about .

      1. Sarri uses a 4 man back line that can look like a 433 or a 4231 depending on personal which focuses on possession and build up via a creative midfielder like Jorginho playing in front of the defense, out of possession he uses a high press. At Juve we got to see Sarri with a stacked team and he did well but I could’ve won with that squad. At Chelsea he encountered a squad like ours and arguably did well but obviously things weren’t harmonious and he was canned. I actually think him and Fonseca are very very similar so not sure why Milan would switch mid season.
Mancini on paper is similar Alegri very conservative but lately he seems to value scoring more than in the past. I’m not very impressed by him as he always seems to underachieve in the long run.
Xavi I don’t know much about but I hear he’s a players manager who values harmony amongst the squad (sounds nice) however things didn’t seem very happy at Barca last year so there’s that.
Conceicao in my opinion should have gotten the job. I think he’s used to working in a league where player sales are part of the game so he’s got a track record of developing talent all while producing some real quality teams. Conceicao’s tactics are a more aggressive version of Fonseca’s and given the issues of work ethic within the squad I think he would’ve had the same issues as Fonseca has had. I believe that was a concern at Porto is there were some conflicts with players over their perceived lack of effort.

So Fabri all in all I’d say Daniel’s assessment is true however two of them are basically Fonseca and I seriously doubt that things would be different under them, seeing as our issues are more mental than tactical…

        1. “I actually think him and Fonseca are very very similar…”

Except that Sarri has won league and continental titles and Fonseca hasn’t. Sarri’s Napoli was praised as playing some of the best football in the continent and Fonseca has never been praised for anything. Just details I guess.

  2. Fonseca have been already burn in Milan. position of the club isn’t even in top 4, it’s middle of the table. I know we don’t have the best players, but enough to be higher in the league table. that’s the reason that Fonseca have to be sack as soon as possile.
    .
Ibra made huge mistake that he approved Fonseca as the ‘manager’ this summer.
    .
Allegri, Mancini and Sarri are probably the best options on the market. especially, Mancini and Sarri can give Milan both things, high ability and great style. with Allegri it’s problem that his teams have played not spectacular football. however, these three coaches/managers are definitely correct options. they know what to do to improve AC Milan and to return club in the right place/position.
    .
I don’t know why Fonsceca haven’t coped with this team, with this job… but it’s enough. only thanks for derby of Milano.

  3. It is obvious why they are forcing with Fonsecino Clownsecino. And why Ibrahimovic and GorlamiFurlani, instead of Maldini ?

Previous do all what owner want, and Maldini wanted something for the club . Thats very big difference.

Clownseca, why Clownseca ? What can we see in Fonseca handling Milan i frist 6th months of his arrival ?

Compare to Pioli who was running for the result, Clownseca is running for that idea. And idea is – everyone can play for Milan. This everyone means that each of the player in the must show imact in the game.

And thats not how the footall function. He benched Leao, Tomori, Theo, thinking that Terraciano, Okafor and Pavlovic will bring same result. Wanting to change game plan and bring new idea, which by statement of Leao, players cant understand.

So Fonseca is guy who will accept all players to be sold so he can work with anything they bring in to the club no matter of final result. For management is much more easier to have submissive coach than Conte who request strong players for serie a !

So guys, fu** them, and stop going and watching Ac Milan games !

  4. I don’t watch Milan games anymore for now because there’s no progress with this coach the practical has been done and it’s come as a failed test let’s move on to something else or this season will be awful ..

  5. Yea f*cking right…. 🤣🤣🤣

The same management that thought Fonseca was an upgrade to Pioli to elevate this club will now be in charge to replace him?? 🤣🤣🤣

We’ll end up with Ted Lasso.

    1. Lol..this was my biggest concern when they decided to fire Pioli. Pioli might ran down Hsi clock by I just had a hunch they would have cheaper out on the new coach. That’s why I was always saying best to just stick with Pioli, I had little confidence they would have brought in someone more formidable…. because of their cheapness..

    1. Who cares, we got Seedorf, Pirlo, Zlatan, Ronaldo that have all worn the nerazzurri before and have been excellent in their careers for us. For God’s sake out of all the coaches we’ve had over the last 30 years that’s the least of our concern. The concern should be that we’ve only won 6 Scudetti in the last 30 years, 2 for Capello, 1 for Zacheroni, 1 for Ancelotti, 1 for Allegri and 1 for Pioli. That’s a problem.

  6. We need to stop going to San Siro and watching the games on TV. Once revenues go down, things will change. This is the only message that incompetent and st*pid Gerry Cardinale understands. I hope that Elliott does not roll over the vendor loan and gets read of Gerry Cardinale.

  7. Mancini is the best coaching option hands down. His Italy national team record was incredible to the euros. He’s a proven coach and is looking to show he still can coach. He’s the one

  8. Not allegri, this guy at one point he destroyed our team,he sold players who were doing it for our team,he sold pato,Tiago sylva and few to mention and then he left the team hanging
