Marco Asensio has one year left on his contract with Real Madrid and it’s not exactly surprising that several clubs are monitoring the situation. AC Milan are one of them and have expressed their interest, a report claims.
This past season, the attacking midfielder made 42 appearances for the Bernabeu side and found the back of the net 12 times. It’s clear that he still has a lot of quality, in other words, but his future might not be in the Spanish capital.

According to Marca, Real Madrid have no intention of offering him a renewal and are waiting on the decision of the player. A summer exit is a likely outcome, therefore, although the price tag of no less than €30m could be an obstacle.
Milan have expressed their interest, per the report, and Asensio’s agent Jorge Mendes is well aware of this. The economic situation makes it difficult for the Rossoneri, but the excellent relations between the clubs keep the hope alive.
He’s not going to leave with a year left on his contract when he can play for Madrid one more year then negotiate as a free agent. And I expect they’ll be happy to keep him another year.
If you’re Mendes, you say to him “you can get 5-6m this year or 7-8m plus a big signing fee next year”.
This isn’t 2010.
He was also one of the 4 players presenting the kit for next season, I’d say he is staying there.
