Maximilian Ibrahimovic trained with the senior AC Milan team yesterday, and he did so in front of his father Zlatan at Milanello.
La Gazzetta dello Sport begin a piece titled ‘Ibra watches Ibra’ by talking about Tuesday’s session at the training complex, a morning training that was a family reunion of sorts.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic was at Milanello and Maximilian Ibrahimovic on the pitch in a mixed session between the first team and the Under 23s. So, a father watched his son train, as happens to all dads in the world when they finish work and go to the training ground.
It is not exactly the same in this case: Zlatan makes the decisions at Milan and for Maximilian he is a parent-manager. Max trained with the Milan Futuro boys together with the first team, due to the logical absences because of the international break.
For Ibra Jr. it was a special day, in a season that has so far seen him play for the Futuro and the Primavera. Maximilian normally trains with Daniele Bonera’s Futuro side but plays in the league and the Youth League with Federico Guidi’s Primavera.
A previous instance comes to mind in February 2023, when Zlatan and Maximilian were even team-mates in a training match after the Champions League match against Tottenham. Zlatan played with Milan U18, his son’s team, against the players not involved the day before at San Siro.

Easy Oli – don’t know if SJF can handle two posts about Ibra in one day….
What Max has with u23 team? He is primavera player, not in milan-futuro team
