Mediaset: Calhanoglu may accept Milan’s offer as Atletico Madrid tie up €34m De Paul deal

By Oliver Fisher -

Hakan Calhanoglu could be pushed towards accepting the offer on the table from AC Milan as Atletico Madrid’s interest appears to be over, a report claims.

According to what SportMediaset (via MilanNews) are reporting, Rodrigo De Paul is one step away from Atletico Madrid as the LaLiga champions have found an agreement with Udinese. They have struck a deal at €25m plus a further €9m in the coffers of the Friulian club if by 2024 Los Colchoneros have not sold the Argentine.

Milan were also on the player, but could not match this offer because the Rossoneri wanted to include Hauge as a technical counterpart while Udinese were more interested in getting guaranteed cash. With De Paul at Atletico Madrid, Hakan Calhanoglu – who had ended up in the sights of the Spaniards – could now move towards a renewal with Milan due to a lack of alternative interest. The situation could unlock soon, therefore.
