AC Milan are getting closer to finding an agreement with Hakan Calhanoglu over the renewal of his contract, according to a report.
The media attention during the international break has been fixated on various renewals that Milan must try and resolve sooner rather than later, in particular Calhanoglu and Gianluigi Donnarumma as both are inside the final few months of their contract.
According to SportMediaset (via MilanLive), Calhanoglu may be the player closest to renewing as the negotiation is in full swing at the moment. There was a big difference between offer and demand, but the parties now seem to have gotten significantly closer.
Now, the idea is to try and find an agreement on an extension until 2025 which would see the Turkey international earn a salary of €4.5m net per season plus bonuses. We await further developments, but it would be nice if at least one uncertain situation can be put to bed.
