Mediaset: Chelsea man ‘very close’ to Milan move – €23m deal to be completed this weekend

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are ‘very close’ to being able to announce the return of Tiemoue Bakayoko from Chelsea, according to a report.

The Rossoneri have reportedly been in talks with Chelsea for weeks to try and secure the return of Bakayoko, who impressed during his loan spell at San Siro in 2018-19.

Talks seemed to be put on the back burner as the management prioritised wrapping up deals for Sandro Tonali and Brahim Diaz, but now it seems things have intensified again.

According to what Claudio Raimondi has told SportMediaset (via MilanNews), Bakayoko’s return to Milan is ‘very close’. Either tomorrow or on Sunday, Maldini and Massara should in fact close the deal with Chelsea and bring the 26-year-old back to Milanello.

The deal should go through on the basis of a paid loan of €3m with an option to buy set at around €20m plus bonuses, making the total operation around €23m.
