Mediaset: Ibrahimovic won’t play until mid-January; Pioli studies tactical approach

AC Milan fans will not see Zlatan Ibrahimovic in action until the middle of January, a report claims, with Stefano Pioli considering his tactical approach.

The Rossoneri confirmed the signing of the Swede on December 27 via a statement on their official website, with Ibrahimovic having penned a six-month deal with the possibility of extending that for an extra 12 months.

According to Sportmediaset on Italia Uno – as cited by MilanNews.it – the Swede will arrive on January 2nd to support the medical visits and to sign his contract with the Rossoneri.

Now all attention has turned to head coach Pioli and finding a tactical set-up capable of enhancing the incredible qualities of the 38-year-old.

The insertion of the former PSG man will be gradual however, as the same outlet claims that he needs at least 10 days of intense work to be up to speed.

His debut won’t happen before January 15 therefore, the match against SPAL in the Coppa Italia.
