Mediaset: Inter looking to usurp AC Milan and Liverpool with €40m offer for Italy starlet

Inter are looking to burn the competition in the race for AC Milan and Liverpool target Sandro Tonali and have submitted an offer, a report claims.

Tonali is widely regarded as one of the brightest talents in Italian football having already made three appearances for the national team, with a number of teams – including the Rossoneri – linked with signing him.

According to SportMediaset (as cited by the Daily Mail), Inter have ‘moved ahead of the chasing pack after laying down an early offer worth £35m (€40m)’ for the 19-year-old.

Director Beppe Marotta and President Steven Zhang have already given their approval to spend a decent portion of their summer budget on Tonali, who has five assists so far this season.

However, the Nerazzurri are still expected to face strong competition, as Milan are credited with interest along with the likes of Liverpool, Napoli and Roma.

European giants Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United are also said to be sniffing round the midfielder, the report adds.
