An update has arrived on AC Milan’s pursuit of a new attacking midfielder, with further confirmations on Josip Ilicic’s candidacy.
According to the latest from SportMediaset (via MilanNews), Milan have a number one target to replace Hakan Calhanoglu in Nikola Vlasic of CSKA Moscow. The Croatia international is the favourite of directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara, but the valuation of €30m is too high for the Rossoneri.
It will be necessary to see therefore whether CSKA lower their demands given that they need to raise cash, or if they open to an alternative formula, but alternative targets are not lacking. The broadcaster adds that in the case Vlasic does not arrive the alternative is Josip Ilicic, who will leave Atalanta and is eager to move to the Rossoneri.
