There appears to be great optimism emerging regarding AC Milan’s negotiations with Chelsea over Tiemoue Bakayoko.
The Rossoneri continue to be linked with a move for the Frenchman as they look for midfield reinforcements ahead of a season back in European competition, with a number of sources claiming Bakayoko has his heart set on a return.
According to what TV station SportMediaset are reporting (via MilanNews), Bakayoko’s return to Milan is ‘almost certain’. With the former Monaco man – who turned 26 on Monday – there is already an agreement in principle on salary.
All that remains is for a deal to be struck with Chelsea, who are at the moment asking for no less than €25million in transfer fee. The Rossoneri management are as a result looking into whether the midfielder could return to Milanello on a paid loan with obligation to buy.
Whatever the solution ends up being, the outlook is obviously positive for them to say Bakayoko’s Milan comeback is ‘almost certain’.
