Mediaset: Milan continue to work under the radar to seal return of Chelsea midfielder

By Oliver Fisher -

Even though speculation has died down in recent days, Milan are continuing to work on bringing Tiemoue Bakayoko back before the window shuts.

The stalemate with Chelsea regarding the Bakayoko deal all stems from the figure of the option to buy that would be inserted into the deal, according to most major sources.

This means that directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are believed to be considering alternatives, with three in particular named: Florentino Luis of Benfica, Boubakary Soumaré of Lille and Andre Zambo-Anguissa of Fulham.

However, SportMediaset (via MilanNews) have provided yet another twist in the tale in their Tuesday update. The broadcaster claims that Milan have not given up on the idea of re-signing Bakayoko and are continuing to work under the radar to try and make it happen.

That obviously means that the management have not abandoned the idea of bringing him back to Milanello, despite the alleged pursuit of other targets.
