Mediaset: Milan eye impressive Cremonese defender to replace Ballo-Toure

By Isak Möller -

Cremonese defender Emanuele Valeri has caught the attention of the big clubs in Italy, including AC Milan. The Rossoneri are expected to replace Fode Ballo-Toure in the summer and they may have found their man.

Ballo-Toure has failed to impress the management since he arrived from Monaco in the summer of 2021. Ahead of next season, therefore, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are expected to bring in a new deputy for Theo Hernandez.

According to SportMediaset, as cited by Andrea Propato, Milan will part ways with Ballo-Toure in the summer and Cremonese’s Valeri is one of the key targets. He’s young (24) and Italian, the latter of which is important for the UCL squad list.

This season, he has amassed two goals and two assists for a struggling Cremonese side (they have won just one game). His current market value is €3.5m, as per Transfermarkt, and the request of Cremonese would probably be around €5m.
