Mediaset: Milan plot sale of €35m man in order to beat Man Utd and Juventus to Tonali

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have hatched a plan to try and beat the strong competition and land Brescia star Sandro Tonali, according to a report.

Tonali is one of the most interesting young Italian talents and will certainly be the subject of a lot of speculation when the transfer window does reopen, with a number of Europe’s top clubs reportedly keen.

According to SportMediaset (via MilanLive), Brescia president Massimo Cellino wants to make a big capital gain and therefore hopes that an auction will start.

The outlet explains that Milan are firmly in the race to land the 19-year-old and plan to sell Lucas Paquetà to raise funds in order to do so. Recently there has been talk of an interest in Benfica for the former Flamengo playmaker, who is unlikely to remain at Milan despite only arriving last January for €35m.

Liverpool, Manchester United, Juventus and Inter among others have been linked with a move for Tonali, but earlier in the week he confirmed that he is still a Milan fan just as he has been since he was young.
