Mediaset: Milan take first steps in bid to sign 15-goal Stuttgart star for €17.5m

By Oliver Fisher -

It is well known that AC Milan will need to invest in a striker before next season and VfB Stuttgart sensation Serhou Guirassy is on their list, a report claims.

According to what was reported by SportMediaset, Milan are looking for a new striker ahead of the January window and Guirassy has caught their eye after he scored 15 goals in the fiurst nine games of this season for Stuttgart.

He has a contract with the Bundesliga club until June 2026, but the 27-year-old striker has a release clause that can be activated in January worth just €17.5m, a figure that is attractive to many big names including Milan.

For this reason, Stuttgart have taken action to try and give the Guinea international a contract extension with a pay rise which would of course allow them to also raise or remove the clause.

Guirassy’s start to the season left everyone speechless thanks to truly impressive numbers that overshadowed even Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, as he has scored on average a goal every 46 minutes in the Bundesliga.

It is no longer a secret that Milan are looking for a striker in January to give the 37-year-old Olivier Giroud some rest. The report adds that the Rossoneri ‘have taken the first steps’, but the competition promises to be fierce.

In the meantime, however, the player will have to stay on the sidelines for several weeks due to an injury to his left hamstring suffered in the 3-0 win against Union Berlin last time out.

  1. Pioli play Giroud even if Mbappe joins
    Chasing hot ball move lol
Give okafor chance first. Meaningless jovic is wasting everyone’s time

    1. Agree personal terms…. This is where problems start. We had difficulties to agree personal terms with Turkish coward, kessie, Dollarumma, Thuram… List goes on…

  2. 27 years! I can’t help but wonder, where has he been so far, and why is his exit transfer clause so low!? If we had been interested before this season, how much would we have had to pay..

  3. he or Gimenez will be good,
€17.5m if fair price for ready ST, his numbers is impresive,
but our sporting director will always asking to lower even if the price is €1m & don’t care about other competitor

  4. Jonathan David is far better. He has been consistent with scoring for many seasons. This guy is just a season player. Milan should not make that mistake.

  5. We should jump on that release clause ASP! its so cheap and its catching the eyes of all top clubs . I know you cant compare Bundesliga to Serie A but scoring 15 goals after like 9-10 games is more then Just luck . GET HIM
