Mediaset: Milan turn to €60m Real Madrid man as Ibrahimovic replacement – Donnarumma involved

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are set to turn to Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic to bolster their attack with Zlatan Ibrahimovic likely to leave, a report claims.

According to the latest from SportMediaset (via MilanNews), Milan’s attempt to get Ibrahimovic to try and pen a renewal is basically a formality, but both CEO Ivan Gazidis and Paolo Maldini know that something has broken between the Rossoneri and the Swede.

The 38-year-old is very unlikely to be at the centre of the project that prospective new head coach Ralf Rangnick would want to lead. The current Head of Football Development for Red Bull has a whole other Milan in mind; a revulation based more on emerging talents.

Luca Jovic of Real Madrid – a player Rangnick knows very well due to the fact he scored 25 goals in two seasons in the Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt – is the hot name if Ibra should not renew.

The German focuses on him and aims above all to integrate him again with Rebic, as at Frankfurt, where they played together. The two also have the same agent, Ramadani.

Real Madrid however does not want to lose their €60million investment of summer 2019, and for this reason they could loan him to a club like Milan with whom they have good relations. It is also possible they could be given an advantage in the Gianluigi Donnarumma sweepstakes in return, a player Zinedine Zidane also likes.
