Mediaset: Milan want return of €40m Chelsea man – two other midfielders targeted

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are keen on the idea of re-signing midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko from Chelsea this summer, according to a report.

The Frenchman – currently at Monaco on loan with a €40m option to buy – has been repeatedly linked with a return to the Rossoneri ever since his loan spell in the 2018-19 campaign during which he impressed under Gennaro Gattuso.

We reported last week that Bakayoko does indeed want to rejoin Milan this summer as Monaco will not exercise their €40million option, but PianetaMilan’s Louis Girardi recently stated there has been no indication from Milan of any interest regarding bringing him back to the club.

However, according to the latest from SportMediaset (via MilanNews), Milan would like to bring Bakayoko back to the San Siro for next season.

Monaco have decided not to sign him permanently from Chelsea and Milan want to sign him on loan once again. In midfield, the Diavolo also want Florentino Luis of Benfica and Marc Roca of Espanyol.
