Mediaset: Milan want to tie up permanent deal for Rebic a year early – the situation

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are planning to move forward negotiations regarding the permanent signing of winger Ante Rebic by a year, a report claims.

Rebic joined the Rossoneri from Eintracht Frankfurt on a two-year loan back in August and after struggling up until Christmas he has since established himself as a key player, becoming the club’s top scorer with just goals in 2020 alone.

According to what SportMediaset are reporting (via MilanNews), Milan are considering various market strategies to prepare for the arrival of Ralf Rangnick as head coach.

The club is planning to negotiate, one year in advance, the permanent purchase of Ante Rebic from Eintracht Frankfurt. However, they are trying to lower the current valuation by €25million, and then evaluate the salary of the winger.

The choice to either invest immediately on Rebic or to continue with the second year of loan but then risking losing him in 2021, will depend very much on the opportunities that the summer market will offer.
