AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli is pressing for the club to try and find an agreement with Zlatan Ibrahimovic regarding a renewal, a report claims.
The saga regarding Ibrahimovic’s renewal is beginning to drag on. According to SportMediaset (via MilanNews), Milan and the Swede are currently quite distant as the club have offered €5m fixed net salary plus bonuses while Ibrahimovic wants €7.5m.
The 38-year-old continues to be present in all the marketing initiatives including Monday’s launch of the new third kit for the 2020-21 season.
The distance between offer and demand is significant, but the whole management are constantly pressing to try and reach an agreement as they know his importance to the squad.
SportMediaset add how Stefano Pioli in particular is pushing for everything to be concluded as soon as possible, as the former Lazio and Fiorentina boss would like him at Milanello next Monday for the beginning of preseason.
